Your chance to learn and work alongside Emma Tooth at her studio or yours.
Have you ever looked at an oil portrait and wondered how it's done? Emma's friendly style of tuition encourages students to explore the medium with helpful hints and tips on professional techniques, materials and composition.
Fun, informal workshop sessions tailored entirely to your needs, whether you are a complete beginner with oils wishing to create your first portrait or an improver wishing to take your work to the next level - you can even bring existing paintings for help on improving them.
Bring along portrait photographs and canvases, plus any of your own materials (suggested materials can be discussed upon booking). You can save yourself time for painting by sketching out your images on the canvas first if you're confident!
Learn about inspiration and how to start a painting, practical help and advice on materials and techniques, get insights into professional art practice, watch Emma at work painting, glazing and varnishing and much, much more...
