This is a very, very special exhibition - 21st Century Derbyshire-based artist Emma Tooth goes head to head with 18th Century Master Joseph Wright of Derby.
A great chance to see some rarely-seen gems from the galleries' Wright archives alongside Emma's sensitive portraits of Derby "Hoodies" and "Gangsters".

Derby City Museum and Art Gallery are hosting this very special event which will see the work of these two artists painting the real people of the industrial city more than two centuries apart, with a special performance on the opening night by dance team Trinity Warriors.

With the curators at the Museum, Emma has had the opportunity to delve into the Museum's archives for material for the show which will be presented alongside her own, which promises to be a unique experience.
